The assault caused the partial shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later released.

Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
