Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making huge earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really happening.
